CCSU Music Events
I am very much interested in the Music field and recently joined the CCSU University and there I want to join the Music Department of CCSU can you please tell me the lists of undergraduate and graduate music courses available in the Music Department of CCSU? The Central Connecticut State University Department of Music is one of the state’s leading training grounds for Connecticut’s future musical artists. The department offers bachelor degrees in Music and Music Education, and concentrations in Jazz Studies, Performance, and Theory/Composition List of courses: Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), concentration in Jazz Studies Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), concentration in Performance Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), concentration in Theory/Composition Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Music Education The CCSU University Singers has appeared numerous times as guests on the subscription series concerts of the professional choirs Voce and Concora, as well as the professional chamber orchestra, Virtuosi. The CCSU University Singers regularly collaborates with prominent guest conductors such as Peter Bagley, Rick Coffey, and Adrian Sylveen. The composition program collaborated with Hartford Independent Chamber Orchestra (HICO). The orchestra performed premieres of works by four student composers, and two faculty composers. The CCSU Wind Ensemble and CCSU University Singers performed in masterclasses and live performance with the Air Force Band and Singing Sergeants.
