The railway link of Northern India terminates at Udhampur, Jammu located at a distance of 233 kilometers from the Srinagar city.

The rest distance to the Kashmir can be covered by road up to Qazigund, wherefrom regular trains ply on an Intra-Valley Rail link to Baramulla through Srinagar city.

The nearest railway station (Nowgam) to the Transit Campus in the valley is located at distance of 2 kilometers.

The Transit Campus of the University is located at Puhroo Chowk, Nowgam, Srinagar (near G.B.Pant Hospital) on the National Highway at a distance of 300 kilometers from Jammu.
