CET admission
I want to take admission for engineering . I want to know the engineering admission procedure for CET. Has CET published any admission notification for admission in engineering programs? When the notification will be published? Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA CET) under the aegis of Karnataka University for admission in various full-time courses in the field of engineering, pharmacy & other allied courses offered by various colleges and institutions located in Karnataka state. The online application has been started from 27th January 2017. KCET Eligibility Criteria For Engineering Courses: Pass in 2nd PUC/12th or equivalent exam with Physics & Mathematics as a compulsory subjects and English as a language subject. Candidates must have secured 45% marks in physics & mathematics along with any one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology /Electronics/ Computer for general candidates and 40% marks for reserved categories. Candidates appearing in qualifying exam are also eligible to apply. For architecture, candidates have to qualify the NATA examination. For Pharmacy/Science Courses: Candidates should have cleared 2nd PUC/12th or equivalent exam with physics, chemistry, biology/Mathematics and English as a language subject. Students must have obtained 50% marks in PCB group for general categories and 40% marks for reserved categories. Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply. KCET 2017 Exam Dates Online application starts 27th January, 2017 (4:00 PM) Last date to submit online application 27th February 2017 (upto 4:00 PM) Last date for fee payment in bank 2nd March 2017 Admit card download Third week of April, 2017 Exam date (Biology & Mathematics) 2nd May 2017 Exam date (Physics & Chemistry) 3rd May 2017 Kannada Language Test (only in Bangalore) 4th May 2017 Result announcement Last week of May, 2017 Counselling begins Second week of June, 2017 KCET Exam Pattern KCET exam pattern is mentioned below: The exam will be conducted via offline method (pen and paper based mode). Questions will be objective type questions. Each section will contain total 60 questions. For each correct response one mark will be awarded. There will not any provision of negative marking for incorrect response.
