Mr. Sanjiv Singh is Chairman, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. with impact from first June 2017. Simultaneously, he is likewise Chairman of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (CPCL) and Hindustan Urvarak and Rasayan Ltd. (Heave) , a joint wander organization set up to resuscitate the compost plants at Gorakhpur, Sindri and Barauni.

A chemical engineer from IIT-Roorkee, Mr. Sanjiv Singh joined IndianOil in 1981. He has served IndianOil for more than 35 years, leading refinery operations and also mega greenfield and brownfield extends in refining and petrochemicals.

With broad involvement in the refining division, Mr. Sanjiv Singh assumed a key part in the setting up, appointing and adjustment of two of IndianOil's greatest greenfield refineries at Panipat and Paradip. The authorizing of IndianOil's eleventh refinery at Paradip in mid 2016, with a capex of Rs. 34,555 crore, is his benchmark commitment to the Indian refining division. Mr. Singh has additionally guided the fruitful usage of the petrochemical undertakings of Paraxylene/PTA and Naphtha Cracker with downstream units at Panipat Refinery.

As Director (Refineries) of IndianOil since July 2014, Mr. Singh has attempted to enhance the operation of IndianOil's 11 refineries by redoing, debottlenecking and modernisation of process units, together with yield and gainfulness change ventures, other than embraced ease limit developments. He focussed on imaginative advancements to make indigenous ability in the field of innovation, while improving the Company's productivity. He unequivocally bolsters commercialisation of indigenous advancements and has driven some such 'firsts' in IndianOil refineries like Octamax (for creation of high-octane fuel); indJet (generation of avionics fuel); inDSK (decrease of sulfur in lamp oil); and indeSelect (gas desulphurisation), among a few others.

Mr. Singh has been a main thrust in conceptualizing India's mammoth 60 million tons for every annum refinery being set-up on the West shore of India, which will change the refining scene of India. Assuming an influential position in the vitality division, he is cooperating India's vision of rising as a 'refining center' in South Asia.

Presented a paper on ‘Challenges in Indian Oil Refining’ at the 7th Refining R&D Panel Meet organised by UOP at Bali, Indonesia, in August 2016.

Recognitions:

Award for outstanding contribution to the field of fuel science conferred at the International Conference on ‘NexGen Technologies for Mining and Fuel Industries’ hosted by CSIR-Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research.

Fellowship Award-2016 of the Centre for Excellence in Project Management (CEPM) for conceiving new projects and leading teams towards smooth and expeditious implementation of mega projects across IndianOil refinery locations.
