Pattern of JEE Main 2016

Paper I - B.E, B.Tech (Offline and Online Test)

One objective type question paper. The paper will consist of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The duration of the paper will be 3 (Three) Hours. The Paper I will be conducted in Computer Based online Test and Paper and Pen offline Test.


Paper II - B.Arch, B.Planning (Only Offline Test)

The Paper II will have one Question Paper consisting of 3 Parts. Part I Mathematics, Part II Aptitude Test and Part III Drawing Test as per past practice of AIEEE.

Part I and Part II are having only Objective type questions. The duration of the paper will be 3 Hours. The Paper II will be conducted only in Paper and Pen offline Test.

IIT JEE Advanced Exam Pattern

The JEE Advanced Exam will have two objective type papers, Paper I and Paper II. Each paper will consist 3 seperate sections on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Duration of each paper will be 3 hours. The questions will be of objective type, designed to test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates.
Negative Marking in JEE

There will be objective type questions with four options having single correct answer. For each incorrect response, one fourth (1/4) of the total marks allotted to the question would be deducted. There will be No Negative marks for the un-answerd questions.
