The Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology IIT Kharagpur offers Integrated MSc, MSc-PhD Dual Degree and PhD Programmes in disciplines of Chemistry.

Programs-

Department offers the following academic programmes.

Integrated MSc

Duration of the course is five years.
Admission through IIT-JEE entrance examination

MSc-PhD Dual Degree

Addmission through JAM examination. A student admitted to a M.Sc.- Ph.D. Dual Degree program will be allowed to enroll for Ph.D. provided he/she has certain minimum CGPA at the end of the fourth semester; otherwise he/she will have to leave with a M.Sc. degree.

PhD Programmes

Admission is done through the admission test and interview conducted by the Department.
Minimum requirement for the candidate is CSIR/UGC qualified or a valid GATE score.

Post-Doctoral Fellowships

Admissions for post-doctoral fellowship are done round the year.
Candidates with PhD degree can apply for IIT-KGP Post-Doctoral Fellowships by following the instructions given in the Institute website.
