Re: Christ the King Ohio University

Christ the King University Parish was set up as an understudy focus in Athens by Bishop John King Mussio in 1965.

Christ the King University Parish was particularly established to join as its essential service the sustaining of the confidence needs of the Catholic populace at Ohio University.

On July 8, 1991, development started on the University Parish Center which would contain office space, a Daily Mass sanctuary, a library, nourishment storeroom, understudy relax, a few meeting rooms, and a little kitchen. Religious administrator Albert Ottenweller devoted the University Parish Center on May 17, 1992. The last period of the redesign to the congregation space started in 2001 with the expansion of a social occasion space, favored holy observance house of prayer, and new recolored glass windows. Cleric R. Daniel Conlon committed the new holy place at Christ the King in October 2003.

In 2011, Bishop Conlon bunched St. Paul Church and Christ the King University Parish to shape the Athens Catholic Community, naming Msgr. Patrick Gaughan the minister of both Christ the King and St. Paul Church, with Fr. Check Moore as his partner.
