State Bank of Patiala AISBOPEF Circular No.14

50,000 AIBEA’s parivar in SBI - AISBIEA
Units are aware that for so many years in State Bank of India, we did not have any good
presence and after the forced merger of State Bank of Indore with SBI, we have our unit
in SBI, that is our All India SBI Employees Association. In view of the Gazette Notification
to merge the 5 Associate Banks with SBI, all our members in the Associate Banks will now
become employees of State Bank of India. Hence, it has been decided that all our Unions
in the 5 Associate Banks will be joining and affiliating with the All India SBI Employees
Association. With this development, AIBEA’s membership in State Bank of India will now
be nearly 50,000. After merger with SBI, in some of the Circles and Regions, our union
will become the majority union also.
In view of these developments, the Executive Committee meeting of All India SBI
Employees Association was held in Bhopal on 11th March, 2017. Keeping the merger of
the Banks with SBI in mind and due to the joining of our Associate Bank units with our
AISBIEA, the need arose to reconstitute the leadership of AISBIEA and accordingly, a new
team of Office Bearers for AISBIEA have been constituted as under:
