I would like to know the eligibility criteria as well as the syllabus for the entrance exam of the Law entrance examination offered at Punjab University?

Please find the details of the Common Law Entrance Test conducted by Punjab University for admission to the Law Courses offered by the University:

SCHEME OF TEST FOR 3 YEAR LAW Entrance Examination:

*The duration of the Entrance exam will be of 1 hour and 30 minutes.
*The Entrance exam will be of 75 marks

Objective type test:
50 marks for 50 multiple choice questions The objective type questions (other than testing Knowledge of English) will be available in Hindi and Punjabi also.

Subjective type exam:
25 marks for subjective type questions.
The subjective type questions shall be on writing and communication skill with legal aptitude. The subjective type questions will have to be answered in English only

B.A. /B.Com. LL.B (Hons.) 5 years Integrated Course

The admission to B.A. LL.B/B.Com. LL.B (Hons.) 5 years Integrated Course shall be based on the merit prepared on the basis of total of 50% marks obtained in 12th examination and 50% marks attained in the Entrance Test conducted by the Punjab University.
Age Limit: The aspirant must not be above 20 years of age as on the last date fixed for submission of application for entrance test of B.A./B.Com-LL.B (Hons) 5 years Integrated course of the year in which admission is sought in the first semester (22 years in case of SC/ST and other backward communities)

The paper will be of 100 questions of one mark each.

The distribution of marks for the respective subjects of examination would be as under:

General Knowledge & Current Affairs : 60 questions

Aptitude for Law : 20 questions

Mental Ability : 10 questions

Proficiency in English Language : 10 questions

25% marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Total time to be allocated to this paper will be 90 minutes.
