The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for Conducting the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Exam-I, 2016. There are Basically four Different Training Academies which one can join through CDS Exam. Indian Military Academy for Indian Army (Only Men) Indian Air Force Academy for Indian Air Force (Only Men) Naval Academy for Indian Navy (Only Men) Officers Training Academy (Men and Women) Eligibility Nationality: A candidates must either be: (i) a Citizen of India, or (ii) a subject of Bhutan, or (iii) a subject of Nepal Age Limits : For Indian Military Academy (IMA): male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July 1993 and not later than 1st July 1998 only are eligible For Indian Naval Academy (INA): Unmarried Male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July 1993 and not later than 1st July 1998 only are eligible For Air Force Academy (AFA) Age: 20 to 24 years born not earlier than 2nd July 1993 and not later than 1st July 1998 Educational Qualification: Indian Military Academy/Officers' Training Academy: The candidates must possess a degree from a recognised university or equivalent. Indian Naval Academy: The candidates must possess a Bachelor of Engineering degree. Air Force Academy: The candidates must possess a degree of a recognised university with Physics and Mathematics at Class 12 level or Bachelor of Engineering. Scheme of Written Exam : Indian Military Academy Naval Academy and Air Force Academy: English (Objective type): 100 marks General Knowledge (Objective type): 100 marks Elementary Mathematics (Objective type): 100 marks For Officers' Training Academy: English (Objective type): 100 marks General Knowledge (Objective type): 100 marks |
