The Combined Engineering Services Examination is directed by the UPSC consistently for enrollment to the four classes of Engineering administrations:

Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering,
Electrical Engineering and
Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

In various posts in governmental organizations like:

The Indian Railways
Central Engineering Service
Survey of India
Engineering branches of Indian Ordnance Factories Service
Military Engineer Services
Indian Telecommunication Service
Central Power Engineering Service
Central Water Engineering Service

The Combined Engineering Services Examination is directed by the UPSC in the month of June consistently

IES Exam Eligibility

1. Instructive Qualification

Competitors must have a B.E degree or equal in the applicable branch. Competitors who are yet to show up in the last examination of the B.E/B.Tech may likewise be permitted to show up in the Examination temporarily.

2. Age Limits

A contender for this examination probably accomplished the age of 21 years and must not have achieved the age of 30 years on the first August, of the year he is taking the exam.

3. Nationality:

A hopeful must be either:

A national of India, or

A subject of Nepal, or

A subject of Bhutan, or

A Tibetan displaced person who approached Indian before the first January, 1962 with the goal of for all time settling in India, or

A man of Indian starting point who has moved from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African nations of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the goal of for all time settling in India.

ESE Entrance Examination 2017
1. A combined competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering will be held by the Union Public Service Commission on 08th January, 2017 in accordance with the Rules published by Ministry of Railways in the Gazette of India Extraordinary dated 28th September, 2016.

UPSC ESE 2017 Vacancy
The number of UPSC CES vacancies to be filled on the results of the examination is expected to be approximately 440 including 17 PH ( LDCP‐12 & HI‐05 ) vacancies. The number of vacancies is liable to alteration.
