Educational Qualification:

Assistant Engineer (Civil) in Water Resources Department, PWD:
B.E degree in Civil Engineering or Civil and Structural Engineering

Assistant Engineer (Electrical) in PWD
Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics and
Communication Engineering

Assistant Director of Industrial Safety and Health
(Formerly named as Assistant Inspector of Factories):

Degree in Mechanical or Production or Industrial or Electrical or Chemical Engineering or Textile Technology

Selection Procedure:
(i) Written Examination in OMR Format and
(ii) Oral Test

TNPSC Engineering Services Exam Pattern:
Two papers
Objective type Question.

Paper I will have the subjects in the relevant discipline of engineering.
Time duration :3 hours

Paper II will have questions on General Studies
Time duration :2 hours.
