Re: Combined Graduate Level Exam Total Marks

The details of the total marks are of the Question Paper of Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam conducted by Staff Selection Commission [SSC] are as follows:

Exam Pattern of SSC CGL

Tier - I (Objective)
Topics Marks Questions (Carry 1 mark each)
Maths 50 50
English 50 50
GK 50 50
Reasoning 50 50
Total 200 200

Tier -II (Objective)
Topics Marks Questions
Maths 200 100 (2 mark each)
English 200 200 (1 mark each)
Total 400 400

Grand Total 600

There is an additional paper of 200 marks for the post of statistical investigator and compiler.
Negative Marking: There is negative marking of 0.25 in the first tier and 0.50 (Maths) and 0.25 (English) in tier 2.

Tier - II exams of both English and Maths will be taken on the same day with the gap of 2 hours.

Both tiers are Objective in nature: In both the exams the questions will be in objective format.

No descriptive paper.

Clear Ist then IInd: Only people who will qualify in the Ist tier will be called to give the IInd tier.

Interview/Skill Test: After qualifying both the tiers appear for interview/skill test.

A 100 marks interview will be taken for interview posts.
