Procedure of applying:
Go to the official website of the SSC
Click on the apply at the top of the home page




Here you will see the CGL
Click on it
You will see the application form
Fill the form
Pay the fees
Take the print of the form for the future use

Paper pattern:
Tier I:
A. General Intelligence + Reasoning - 50 marks
B. General Awareness - 50 marks.
C. Quantitative Aptitude - 50 marks.
D. English Comprehension - 50 marks.
Total Marks : 200
Duration : 02 hours
For VH and candidates suffering from cerebral palsy : 2 hours 40 minutes.

Tier II:
I. Quantitative Abilities : 200 marks ( 100 Questions )
Duration : 2 hours
For VH and candidates suffering from cerebral palsy : 2 hours 40 minutes where eligible.
II. English Language & Comprehension : 200 marks.
Total Marks : 400
Duration : 2 hours
For VH and candidates suffering from cerebral palsy : 2 hours 40 minutes wherever eligible.

Exam dates for 2016:
CGL Tier 1:
Date of release of detailed advertisement: February 13
Closing Date: March 14
Date of Exam: May 8 and May 22

CGL Tier 2:
Date of release of detailed advertisement: to be notified later
Closing Date: to be notified later
Date of Exam: August 13 and August 14, 2016.
