Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) conducts the Under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET) to take admission in various Medical colleges of Karnataka state.

COMEDK UGET Eligibility Criteria

Age:
One shall have completed the age of 17 years

Education Qualification:

• The candidates should have qualified in second PUC or 10+2 or equivalent examination recognized by State / Central Government with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject

• General category candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) individually and have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in PCB. While the qualifying mark is 40% for SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State

COMEDK UGET 2016 Qualifying Marks:
• General Merit candidates must secure minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) to qualify the entrance test. While the qualifying marks for SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka is 40%

• English is one of the subjects to be tested along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology during COMEDK UGET.

• The General Merit candidates must secure minimum 50% marks in English (40% in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka).

• The marks scored in English will not be added for the determination of rank which shall be decided exclusively based on the minimum required marks secured by the candidates in PCB subjects

• One is not entitled for a rank if they fail to secure 50% or 40% of the marks as the case may be in English

Not Eligible for COMEDK UGET Medical 2016:

• One who have passed 10+2 or equivalent prior to 2014

• One earlier selected for MBBS seat through COMEDK UGET Medical exam but failed to join the college so selected or failed to surrender the said seat at the COMEDK level for valid reasons or having joined the college so selected failed to pursue the course

• One already pursuing Medical UG course anywhere in India

• One who was caught attempting to copy or found following / adopting any of the misconduct earlier including entertaining the touts and agents
