Which course to do to Join Indian Navy
Will you please tell me which course should I do to join Indian Navy????? You can join the Naval Academy either through NDA/NA examination and through 10+2 B.Tech Entry after 12th or you can join it after Graduation. Here are the ways in which you can join Naval Academy: NDA/NA Entry: -Through his only male candidates who are between the age of 16 ½ - 19 ½ years of age and have Physics and Math’s in 12th can apply. -NDA cadets opting to join the Navy complete three years of joint training at NDA, Khadakwasla with the Army and Air Force cadets. -They then transfer to INA for the next one year. -Cadets have the option to major in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture and are awarded a Bachelor of Technology degree upon graduation. -Upon graduation, cadets are commissioned as Sub Lieutenants in the Navy. -Cadets majoring in Naval Architecture have to undergo an additional 6 months of training at the Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam after graduation. -They also have the option to enroll for additional post-graduate specialization in the field at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Through 10+2 B.Tech Entry: -This is a new entry of Navy. -SSB calls are made directly to male candidates having the 12th percentage above the cutoff percentage. -Selected Candidates will be inducted as Cadets for four year B Tech course in Electronics & Communication or Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala Kerala. -During the course, Cadets will be allotted Executive or Engineering including Naval Architect specialization or Electrical Branch. On completion of the course, B Tech Degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Through CDSE (Combine Defence Service Examination): -Male graduates who have B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering can apply for Naval Academy -The written exam consists of objective type paper having Math’s, English and GK. The successful candidates of written exam are called for SSB and further for medicals.
