Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the examination for the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) for the Assistant Commandants (AC) Group A in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) viz Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).

The Examination will be held in accordance with the Rules for the Examinations published by Ministry of Home Affairs in Gazette of India.

Age Limit:
Candidate’s age should be between 20-25 years as on 01-08-2016.
Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess Bachelor’s Degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or an equivalent qualification.

Selection Process:
Candidates are selected based on performance in Written Examination, Physical Standards Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Medical Standards Test & Interview/ Personality Test.
