Re: CPP IIM Bangalore

Hello Ritivika, As you asking for the development of the central for public policy in IIM Bangalore let me tell you that to processes of globalization, liberalization, decentralization of administration demands an innovative and socially relevant approach to public policy. This requires a higher level of skills on the part of policy markers

The Centre for Public Policy (CPP) was established to enhance policy making and management capacity in the public sphere with support from Government of India and the UNDP.

the Main goals of the policy are as follow :

To conduct a full time residential Long Duration Training Programme for midcareer civil servants which would develop in-depth capability for both policy making and implementation.

- To conduct research in public policy, and thus function as a think tank to generate both strategic visions on major issues and also provide solutions to practical problems.

- To conduct Short duration training programmes for a mix of participants from the government, civil society and non-profit sectors

- To provide policy advisory services through consulting assignments.

The CPP aims to implement the Institute's mission of "excellence through partnerships " It seeks to form a network of such institutions, and promote professional exchanges.
