Centre of Studies In Resources Engineering was established in IIT Bombay in 1976. The Centre has grown into one of the premier centres in the country working in the frontier area of Geo-informatics and Natural Resources Engineering. Modern technologies like Geographic Information System (GIS), Global Positioning System (GPS), Satellite image processing and Remote Sensing, are extensively used in the Centre's in teaching, research, consultancy and continuing education programmes. P E Admissions Candidates with B.Tech. degree in any branch of Engineering and M.Sc. degree in any branch of Science or other disciplines covered by GATE ( Mathematics as subject up to 10+2 level) may be considered for admission to the proposed M.Tech. programme. A screening test will be conducted for candidates seeking admission to the M.Tech. programme. The objective of the screening test is to assess the quantitative and analytical skills of the candidates and their general awareness about remote sensing and natural resources. The question paper will be multiple-choice objective type with about 25 questions. The duration of the test will be 1 hour. Use of Calculators will be permitted in the screening test.
