About CSTE Training

The Certified Software Tester (CSTE) certification is to establish standards for initial qualification.

It provides direction for the testing function through an aggressive educational program.

CSTEs become members of a recognized professional group and receive recognition of their competence by business.

Certification Exam

The certification is achieved through a 2.5 hour exam made up for two sections; multiple choice and short answer/essay.

Each section is required to be completed in 75 minutes.

There is a ten minute break between the sessions.

The passing mark is 70% which is the average score of both sections.

The exam is held separately from the training course.
