CUSAT Ship

I think the CUSAT is only one Engineering University in India that provides B.Tech Degree in Naval Architecture and Ship Building. So please give me fee structure for this program with admission form. I want to join CUSAT without any Entrance Exam, so tell me can I take admission in B.Tech Degree in Naval Architecture and Ship Building through management quota?

The Department of Ship Technology of Cochin University of Science and Technology is one of the pioneers in the field of Naval Architecture education in India

It was established to create a new and dynamic generation of Naval Architects to meet the requirements of the Indian Shipbuilding Industry, Ship Classification Societies, R&D organizations, Indian Navy, and related organisations.

With this in view B. Tech. programme in Naval Architecture and Ship Building was started in 1975.

Courses Offered

B. Tech. Naval Architecture & Ship Building
One should have passed Plus Two (10+2) exam conducted in Kerala or the exam of any other University/ Board accepted by the Syndicate of the University as equivalent thereto in First Class (60% marks) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as subjects of study.

One should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.

M. Tech. Computer Aided Structural Analysis & Design
B. Tech. or equivalent degree in Naval Architecture and Ship Building/ Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks from any recognized University or Institution.

A valid GATE score

Ph. D.
One must have Master Degree from a recognized University with 55% marks in the qualifying exam, or a CGPA of 6.0 in the 10 point scale or an equivalent grade in similar scales. One belonging to SC/ST community is eligible for concession upto 10% marks for admission provided that has a pass in the qualifying exam.

One must have passed the Departmental Admission Test and ranked as per the norms laid down in the regulation.

One who possess national/state research fellowship with valid scores, with committed financial assistance at the time of seeking admission, in any of the national/state level eligibility tests conducted by the agencies or by industries so recognized by the University for the purpose, are exempted from provision (ii) above.

Teachers of Universities/Aided Colleges in Kerala/Teachers who are working in Quasi Government/Government Institutions recognized by CUSAT and scientists in National Level Research Laboratories, who have put in 5 years of continuous service, and foreign nationals who have been sponsored under a scholarship scheme by the Government of India for undergoing Ph.D. programme in India, are exempted from provision (ii) above.
