The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

As Date Of KVPY Interview was not declared but below I have provided some details regarding interview.

Based on the performance in the aptitude test, short-listed students are called for an interview which is the final stage of the selection procedure.

For receiving a fellowship, both aptitude test and interview marks are considered.

The cut off marks for different streams are as under:

Stream SA - 50 marks out of 100
SA - SC/ST - 40 marks out of 100
SA - PWD (Person with disability) – 40 marks out of 100

Stream SB - 48 marks out of 100
SB - SC/ST -34 marks out of 100
SB - PWD (Person with disability) – 34 marks out of 100

Stream SX - 57 marks out of 100
SX - SC/ST - 40 marks out of 100
SX - PWD (Person with disability) – 40 marks out of 100

Eligibility for KVPY:

Stream SA: Students enrolled in XI Standard (Science Subjects) during the academic year 2012-2013 and have secured a minimum of 80% (70% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X Standard Board Examination.

Stream SX: Students enrolled in Class XII (+2) of the academic year 2012 - 2013 and aspiring to join undergraduate program in Basic Sciences (B.Sc/B.S./Int. M.Sc) for the session 2013 - 2014 provided they secured a minimum of 80% (70% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X Standard Board Examination.

Stream SB: Students enrolled in 1st year B.Sc. /B.S. /Int. M.Sc. during the academic year 2012-2013 and have secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in SCIENCE subjects in the XII Standard Board Examination.
