Punjab University is having a Department of Computer Science & Applications.

This Department of Computer Science & Applications at the Panjab University available from 1966.

An independent Centre for Computer Science and Applications was set-up in 1983.

The Department is running Master of Computer Applications (MCA) (3 year full time course) and was initiated in 1992-93.

Its two courses of:
Bachelors of Science (Honors School) in Computer Science
Masters of Science (Honors School) in Computer Science

Both have been introduced from year 2001 and year 2004, respectively.
