Map and location

IIT Delhi is arranged at Hauz Khas in South Delhi, which is a point of interest spot in the brilliant and checkered history of Delhi. Limited by the Sri Aurobindo Marg on the east, the Jawaharlal Nehru University Complex on the west, the National Council of Educational Research and Training on the south, and the New Ring Road on the north, the Institute grounds is flanked by Qutub Minar and the Hauz Khas landmarks. All around associated with the significant downtown areas by open and wide streets, the Institute grounds is around 19 Km. far from the Delhi Main Railway Station, 14 Km. from the New Delhi Railway Station, 21 Km. from the Inter-State Bus Terminal and 10 Km. from Delhi Airport.

The campus of the Institute reaches out to a zone of 320 sections of land. With numerous geographical components, creatively laid out with beautiful scene, various structures of different nature and stature, and spotless and wide streets, the grounds exhibits a display of amicability in design and regular magnificence. The grounds region has been separated into four utilitarian zones : (i) Residential zone for understudies; (ii) Residential zone for the personnel and staff; (iii) Academic zone for scholastic structures and workshops; and (iv) Cultural-cum-social and recreational zone for understudies. The site being longitudinal fit as a fiddle, the last two zones have been found mid-route between the two private zones with a specific end goal to diminish strolling separation.
