Please help me regarding the details of the admissions to the Phd course at the Delhi School Of Economics?

The Delhi School of Economics is one of India’s premier institutes of higher learning that is based at the city of the Delhi. The school was launched in 1949 by V.K.R.V. Rao, with the support of Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

Here are the details of the Phd admissions at the The Delhi School of Economics

Application Procedure

1) All students must take the entrance exam to get the admission to the courses of the Phd at the institute.

2) Applicants can only apply online to the Delhi School of Economics .The completed application form must be received in the department office no later than June 9, 2014, to get the admission to the courses at the institute

3) All applicants should print out an additional copy of the completed form, and bring it with their attached photograph, to the entrance exam.

The M.Phil./Ph.D. entrance exam to grant the admission to the course will be held on June 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Delhi School of Economics.

Eligibility-

The minimum qualification for admission to the Phd programme at the Delhi School of Economics is the Masters degree in Economics, or in any of the following allied subjects: Business Economics, Business Administration, Commerce, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, History and Engineering, with at least 55% marks in the aggregate from any recognised university of the country.

When you will clear the entrance test of the institute you will face an interview and if selected, will be given provisional admission into the Ph.D. programme at the institute.

The final list of candidates who have been accepted for admission into both the M.Phil. and Ph.D programmes at the institute will be announced on July 18, 2014.
