Delhi Technological University is invited candidates for taking admission for engineering course through entrance exam.

Selection process:

The short-listing of applications for the purpose of screening test & interview will be done by the Ph.D. coordinator nominated by the Vice-Chancellor in consultation with the respective departments.

Written test will be of 60 marks having 60 questions from entire spectrum of the department syllabus and 1½ Hr. duration along with interview weightage of 40 marks. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of 100 marks.

The admission towards a full-time Bachelor of Engineering degree in DTU is through the JEE MAINS from conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education.

Total 85% of the seats are reserved for students who pass from schools in the National Capital Territory of Delhi or Delhi region.

The remaining 15% seats are for candidates from outside the Delhi region and are admitted on the basis of All India merit Rank in JEE MAINS.

For PG courses candidates are needed to qualify GATE entrance exam. Admission towards a postgraduate degree is based on performance in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) qualifying exam.

If two or more candidates have the same GATE score, then percentage in qualifying undergraduate course shall decide the merit.

No separate test/interview is conducted by the university.

For the NRIs, Foreign Nationals and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) the admission is made on the basis of merit/score in Graduate Record Examination (GRE).

The medium of instruction for all the courses at the university is English.

Admissions in MBA program are based on Common Admission Test (CAT) exam, followed by a group discussion and an interview
