The University of Delhi's Department of Business Economics was established in in 1973.

The department also administers Bachelors, M.Phil and Ph.D. programs in this discipline.

The programmes in Business Economics are designed to meet the growing need for an analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving in the changing corporate world by the application of the latest techniques evolved in the fields of Economics and Business.

Business Economics programs-

Master Of Business Economics (Course Available South Campus, University Of Delhi)

Eligibility:

Graduate (Under 10+2+3)/Post-Graduate in any discipline, with at least 50% marks from the University of Delhi of any other University recognized as equivalent thereto.

Foreign students studying in Indian Universities are required to appear in Admission Test.

Selection Procedure:

The shortlisting of the candidates for admission to the MFC and MBE Programs will be done on the basis of their performance in Entrance Test which seeks to test the aptitude of the candidates for studies in business analysis and management.

The Entrance Test will consist of multiple choice questions relating to English Comprehension and Verbal Ability, Analytical Reasoning, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency, Quantitative Ability (covering Basic Arithmetic, Algebra, Calculus, Basic Statistics and Data Analysis) and Current Business Environment.

The short listed candidates shall be called for group discussion and personal interview.

M.PHIL Programme

Eligibility Condition –

Masters degree in Business- Economics/ Economics/ Commerce with at least 55% marks at the masters level.

Seats for SC, ST and OBC students will be reserved as per university rules.

PH.D Programme

Eligibility Condition –

The Department of Business Economics offers Ph.D. in Business Economics.

For admission to Ph.D. programme, candidate should have least 55% marks in Master’s programme in Business-Economics / Economics / Commerce / MBA and M.Phil degree from any recognized University.
