The research projects being conducted by the Department of Earth System Science and Technology address multi-disciplinary issues in earth environmental science and atmosphere-ocean engineering.

In the former area, the emphasis is placed upon scientific understanding of fundamental characteristics of the earth system composed of atmosphere, ocean, and space plasma.

Screening
The screening will be carried out on the basis of writing tests and an interview held in IGSES, Fukuoka, Japan as well as the documents submitted (See the application guidelines).
