Built up in 1949, the Department of Politics and Public Administration is one of the most seasoned divisions of the University. Established in 1949, the division of governmental issues was renamed as Department of Politics and Public Administration in 1956 on account of the then Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri. Yashwantrao Chavan. In 2008 the Department was overhauled by the UGC as Center for Advanced Studies (CAS) with an order to ponder Indian Politics. The push range was State and Democracy in India in the worldwide setting. After a fruitful fulfillment of stage I the UGC conceded CAS (stage II) to the Department in 2015.

Library Facility

Computer Lab Facility

The office additionally has a copier, scanner and three LCD projectors, two settled in the two classrooms and one versatile.

The office has a little workshop lobby named after Professor V. M. Sirsikar. The group of Late Professor Sirsikar gave the assets for changing over the current room into a course corridor.
