Details of common admission test
My self Harsh, I want to give the Common Admission Test. but I have no idea about the details of it. Will you please tell me what is the minimum eligibility needed to apply for it? Also give me the link from where I can download the syllabus and the application form of the common admission test? Give me the fee structure of it?

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer based test held in India. The test scores a candidate on the bases of Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA) and Reading Comprehension (RC), Data Interpretation (DI) and Logical Reasoning (LR). The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) started it and use the test for selecting students for their business administration programs. It is conducted every year by one of the IIMs based on a policy of rotation to select students for their management programmes. CAT Eligibility Criteria - Minimum Qualification Required 1. Bachelor’s Degree - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (4 years after 10+2/Post B.Sc./Post Diploma) or B.E/B. Tech equivalent exams, of Professional Societies, recognized by MHRD/UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institution of Engineers-India, AMICE by the Institute of Civil Engineers India). 2. Equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree - Any Qualification recognized by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi which is equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree awarded by UGC recognized University/Institutions. 3. Other - Cases not covered above equivalency certificate to be produced from Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi CAT Exam Details Duration of Exam 180 Minutes No. of Sections 3 Exam Sections Quantitative ability (QA), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC) Marking Scheme Correct answer: +3 Incorrect answer: -1 No penalty for unanswered question No negative marking for non MCQs CAT Exam Syllabus Quantitative Ability (QA) Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VARC) |
