Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO), a constituent unit of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), is a premier national laboratory dedicated to research, design and development of scientific and industrial instruments.

Diploma in CSIO details:

Institute: Indo-Swiss Training Centre (ISTC) of Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO)

Progamme: The Training Centre conducts three AICTE approved courses viz.
3 -Year Diploma in Instrument Technology
4- Year Advanced Diploma in Die & Mould Making
4- Year Advanced Diploma in Mechatronics & Industrial Automation

The latter two consist of two years of common training with the trainees of Instrument Technology course plus two years of advanced specialization.

The medium of instruction is English.

Admission procedure:

The admission is open to boys as well as girls who have passed their qualifying examination from recognized boards in India.

Admission will be granted on the basis of merit in the Entrance Test to be conducted by ISTC on August 2016 (approx) at Chandigarh.

Intake: 70 seats (11 seats reserved for SC candidates and 5 for ST).

Eligibility:

You must have passed the Matriculation or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Science and English subjects from any recognized school / board.

Those who have appeared in the qualifying examination this year are also eligible to apply.

Age: Those born on or after September 01, 1993 (September 01, 1990 in case of SC/ST candidates) are eligible.

Application fee: Rs. 1000 (Rs. 500 for SC/ST)
