The Diploma in Arts (Drama and Theatre Studies) is a two-year part-time course offered by the Department of
English to meet the needs of mature students who have a special interest in the theatre, and who wish to expand their skills and knowledge of the theatre. The course combines theatre history and the study of individual dramatic texts with practical courses on stage design, lighting, performance and directing. Upon completion of this course, students
will have a solid background in drama studies as well as a practical theatre skills base with which they can return to
their communities.
