The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is a public engineering institution located in Powai, Mumbai, India. It is the second-oldest institute of the Indian Institutes of Technology system. IIT Bombay was established in 1958.

M.Tech Admissions-

The Institute offer Direct Admissions to M.Tech on the basis of GATE score & through Written Test and/or Interview (For admission to TA/TAP Category)

Admission is by "direct admission based on GATE cutoff : Teaching Assistantship (TA), Self Financed (SF). These are 2 year M.Tech. programmes.

Direct Admission on the Basis of Gate Score (IInd Offer) Will be declared on 4th May by 5:00 pm.

Fees for all categories (GN/OBC/OBCNC/
SC/ST/PwD) :
( subject to revision as per MHRD/BoG decision)

For GN/OBC/OBCNC category :

With Hostel Accommodation = Rs. 27,876/
Without Hostel Accommodation =Rs.15,876/ With

For SC/ST/PwD category:

Hostel Accommodation = Rs. 22,876/
Without Hostel Accommodation = Rs. 10,876/

In case payment through Demand Draft, the same should be drawn on any Nationalized Bank (preferably State Bank of India / Canara Bank) in favour of "Registrar, IIT Bombay", payable at Mumbai.

Write your Name, GATE Reg. No., Department, Category on reverse side of the Demand Draft.

The Draft may be submitted in person to Academic Office or sent by post to The Deputy Registrar (Academic), IIT Bombay,
Powai, Mumbai – 400076.

Verification of documents/certificates will be held in the LAST week of July, 2016 in the concerned academic units.

You are required to bring selfattested copies of your

Educational qualification
Date of Birth,
Migration
Caste/Tribe /NonCreamy
Layer/Disability certificates, etc. along with ORIGINALS for verification.

You are also requested to submit the "Vaccination Certificate/Vaccination Exemption Certificate" at the time of registration.
