Well The University of Jammu was established in 1969

The Director College Development Council will be appointed by the University Council on the recommendation of the Selection Committee appointed for the purpose under sub-section (1) (b) of Section 36 of the Act.

He shall be a whole-time officer of the University and perform such duties and exercise such powers as may be assigned to him by the University Council, the Syndicate or by the Vice-Chancellor.
