Thiruvalluvar University was established in October 2002. The Thiruvalluvar Institute of Distance Education (TIDE) of Thiruvalluvar University has come into existence from the academic year 2011-12.

Thiruvalluvar University Distance Education (TIDE) offers courses like BA, B.Com, BCA, BBA and B.Sc. The duration period for each of the courses is 3 years.

The university accepts direct admission to all the UG courses.

Selection:

The selection is done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

PG Courses - Rs. 150; Professional Courses - Rs.350/- (MBA); Certificate Courses - Rs.100; Diploma Courses - Rs.150
