Dominican University (DU) is a coeducational, comprehensive, Catholic institution of higher education and research in River Forest, Illinois. Affiliated with the Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters, it offers bachelors and master's degrees and certificate programs as well as a PhD in library and information science. Dominican offers more than 50 majors in the Rosary College of Arts and Sciences and 20 programs in five graduate academic divisions offering graduate programs in library and information science, business, the School of Education, and social work Admission Requirement for MBA A complete Admissions file must contain: 1. Completed Application for Admission 2. Bachelor degree or its equivalent from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning 3. Official transcript of coursework from each college or university attended (undergraduate and graduate). Transcripts must be in a sealed envelope sent directly from the college or university. Students who received their undergraduate degrees from an institution outside the United States should contact the Office of Admissions for further instructions. 4. A grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 is required for the last 60 units of graded undergraduate or graduate course work. The following criteria may be used, at the discretion of the admissions committee, to determine admissibility in lieu of a 3.0 GPA for last 60 units of coursework: A. A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher, achieved at an accredited institution B. A cumulative graduate GPA of 3.0 or higher, achieved at an accredited institution (requires conferral of graduate degree) C. Work experience D. GMAT or GRE scores (GMAT and GRE are NOT required, but may be submitted for consideration) 5. Two letters of recommendation (academic or professional) 6. Resume 7. Statement of purpose or intent: a brief essay (3-5 pages) describing professional and/or personal goals and reasons for obtaining a graduate degree |
