Re: DRDO Exam Minimum Eligibility

Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) was founded in 1958 and it has grown from a small organization with ten laboratories to over 50 laboratories that engage 7,500 scientists and nearly 22,000 other scientific, technical and supporting personnel.

The activities of DRDO are primarily focused on making India self-reliant in defence systems.

Recruitment of Scientists at DRDO:

Class-I Officer Posts (Group A Service)
Eligibility: 1st Class BE/ BTech in Chemical / Computer Science /Electrical/ Electronics & Communication/ Mechanical Engineering

Scientist 'B'
Eligibility: Final year/ Pre-final year student of BE/ BTech/BSc (Engineering) who have cleared all papers and secured First Class or equivalent CGPA (with minimum 65% marks(7.25 CGPA)

Scientist ‘C’
Eligibility: Fresh PhD scholars and those who have passed the engineering/ medical examination at graduate level or Science/ Psychology/ Mathematics at Post Graduate level in first division

Ad-hoc appointment of Scientists at different levels
Eligibility: NRI scientists who would have returned to India during preceding 6-months time; not holding any position in India.

Scientist 'C' to Scientist 'G'
Eligibility: Similar educational qualifications as in the case of scientists and relevant work experience

Scientist ‘B’
Eligibility: BE/ BTech and ME/ MTech candidates of Aeronautical Engineering in the various institutes of national fame
