Eligibility for sponsoring of the Project by the DRDO

Your projects of interest must be to national needs (particularly to Defence requirements) formulated by the LSRB

Then the projects are referred to universities/research institutions/industry etc.

Grants are offered to IITs, universities, colleges, departments, laboratories approved research Institutes, eminent scientists working in reputed industrial

Way of application

Eligible institutes/ candidates should submit project proposals to the following address in the prescribed format available free of cost at the website:

All proposals will be referred to the appropriate specialist panel of the LSRB
Life Sciences Research Board

Projects will be sanctioned for the entire projected period along with the total estimated cost with the year- wise break down

Consideration of new proposals (twice a year)

Receipt of project proposals in LSRB Sectt. by 01 February and 01 August

Specialists' Panel to submit its recommendation by 31 March and 30 September

Board Meeting to be held by 30 April and 31 October

Project Sanction Letters to be issued by 31 May and 30 November
