The Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO) invited application for the recruitment of Scientists and Engineers for recruitment through GATE

Applications process of the recruitment was held from March 20 to April 10, 2016.

Organization: Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO)

Position: Posts of Scientist ‘B’ in DRDO and Scientist/Engineer ‘B’ In Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA)

No of vacancies: 120

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have obtained at least a first class in their qualifying exam equivalent to 60%.

In case of non‐availability of the conversion formula, CGPA/CPI of 6.75 (for a 10 point scale) will be taken as equivalent to 60%,

Knowledge of German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese is desirable but not mandatory

The upper age limit not exceeding 28 years
Relaxation will be as per Govt guidelines

Final Year Students are also eligible to apply

Only Indian nationals need apply

Selection:

On the basis of GATE 2015 or GATE 2016 Scores and Personal Interview

The final selection of the candidates will be purely on the basis of discipline wise category wise merit of aggregate of, 80% weightage to GATE score and 20% weightage to marks in personal interview.

A candidate has to secure minimum qualifying marks of 70% for General candidates and 60% for OBC/SC/ST/PWD candidates in Personal Interview.

Application Fee:

Rs 100 for General/OBC candidates payable online only.

There is no application fee for SC/ST /PWD and women candidates.
