The selection of the DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police) group 1 exam is based on the personal interview and written test of the candidate. Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts the recruitment examination; here are the details of it:

Eligibility:
The applicant should hold A Degree of any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the central or State Legislature in India.

Selection procedure:

Preliminary Examination

Main Written Examination

Interview

Main written Examination / Written Examination cum-oral Test

Subordinate services Rs.75

Preliminary Examination (Group I Services) Rs.50

Written Examination alone Rs.50
