They are Preliminary examination Main examination Personal interview Preliminary examination consists of single paper which comprises of General studies and Aptitude & Mental ability test Total marks allotted = 300 marks (General studies = 150 questions and aptitude & mental ability test= 50 questions). Syllabus: General Science Current Events Geography History and culture of India Indian Polity Indian Economy Indian National Movement Mental Ability Test Paper I contains, – Modern history of India and Indian culture. – General Aptitude and Mental ability test. – Role and impact of Science and Technology in the development of India and Tamil Nadu. Paper II contains, – Indian polity and emerging political trends across the world, affecting India and Geography of India. – Tamil society, its culture and heritage / English language skills. – Administration of union and states with special reference to Tamilnadu. Paper III contains, – Current events of national and international importance. – Current economic trends: Indian economy and impact of global economy on India. – Socioeconomic problems of India / Tamil Nadu. Each paper carries 300 marks. |
