Hi I am interested in having the information about the Collective Thomson Scattering group at DTU on development of preliminary design for a CTS diagnostic system?

Re: Dtu cts

The CTS bunch at DTU has built up an applied and preparatory outline for a CTS analytic framework for ITER under contracts with EFDA amid the years 2003-2007. This work established the framework for the incorporation of a CTS symptomatic framework in the ITER Baseline Design which was upgraded in 2007. The CTS analytic will have the essential goal to analyze quick particle conduct over the plasma sweep in ITER in around 10 areas.

The advancement of the CTS diagnostic is presently in the hands of the ITER Organization (IO), yet Europe (Fusion for Energy – F4E) has been chosen to give the last outline and in-vessel segments of the CTS demonstrative to IO. In February 2014, DTU (in a consortium with IST (Portugal)) went into a four-year Framework Partnership Agreement with F4E for the advancement of the CTS analytic for ITER.

The measuring gear, the purported CTS framework (Collective Thomson Scattering), will screen the quick particle particles in combination plasma at ITER, which is planned for culmination in 2020. The framework has been produced in the Plasma Physics and Fusion Energy Section at DTU Physics, which is at the global cutting edge of improvement and operation of CTS frameworks.

Testing method

"Surprisingly, ITER will make it workable for us to concentrate on the conduct of a completely operational combination plasma. The CTS demonstrative is pivotal for comprehension the progression of particles in the plasma," says Søren Bang Korsholm, Senior Scientist at DTU Physics and leader of the undertaking.

The measuring framework will give data about how quick particles from the combination procedure carry on, and how the harmony amongst deuterium and tritium in the plasma influences the combination productivity.
