Both Men and Women Can opt for Short Service Commission in Indian Air Force
Flying Branch

All Graduates and Post Graduates Can Join SSC Flying Branch through AFCAT Entry Conducted by IAF every year .

The Engagement period is 14 Years from date OF COMMISSIONING (not extendable)
Technical Branch and Ground Duty Branch

All Graduates And Post Graduates can join Indian Air Force technical and Ground Duty Branch Through AFCAT entry Conducted by Indian Air Force.

The Engagement period would be for a period of 10 years.

An extension of 4 years may be granted subject to vacancies, suitability, merit, willingness and service requirement.
