Re: Eligibility Criteria for CAT Entrance Exam

CAT is known as Common Admission Test.
It is a type of national level entrance exam for admission to MBA courses to various IIM’s and Non IIM’s institutes.
It is a type of computer based test.
CAT is conducted by IIM’s.

As you have asked about the CAT exam Eligibility Details, I am giving you some information about that

Eligibility Criteria:
Contender must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) by any recognized university.

The percentage of marks obtained by the applicant in the bachelor’s degree would be calculated based on the practice followed by the university/institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree.

Applicants appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply

Contenders should note that the mere fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria will not ensure consideration for short listing by IIMs.

CAT exam pattern:
CAT 2015 will be divided into three sections:

Quantitative Aptitude (QA) having 34 questions
Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) with 32 questions
Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC) with 34 questions

Total duration for the exam is 180 minutes and will be having 100 questions
