Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad is a type of public business
school.

It was established in the year 1961.

It is located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

It is one of the leading B-Schools in India.



As you have asked about the eligibility criteria and admission process check
below for the information

The applicant must hold a graduation degree, with at least 50% marks or
equal CGPA [in case of the contenders belonging to Scheduled Caste
(SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) category, this is
relaxed to 45%]

The bachelor’s degree or equal qualification obtained by the applicant must
require a minimum of 3 years of education after completing higher
secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.

Contenders appearing for the final year bachelor’s degree/equal qualification
examination and those who have completed degree requirement and are
awaiting results can also apply

It is compulsory for the final year students, who are temporarily admitted,
to submit the mark-sheet and degree certificate of the final year bachelor’s
degree examination



Admission/Selection Process



The selection of contenders for admission at IIM Ahmedabad is a 2-step
process.



In the first step, applicants are short-listed for Academic Writing Test (AWT)
and Personal Interview (PI) from among the candidates who have a valid
CAT 2015 score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the
eligibility criteria for the programme.

Short listing will be carried out in two stages.

Stage 1: (From the Applicants’ pool: Selection of exceptional performers

Final Selection



Selection at this stage will strictly be based on the ranks of the candidates
computed separately for each category (General/SC/ST/NC-OBC/DA) on the
basis of their ‘Final Composite Scores’ (FCS). The numbers selected in
different categories will be in proportions mandated by law.
