RRB - Railway Recruitment Board Exam is conducted by the various RRBs in India for providing jobs at these posts offered. Railway Recruitment Posts Description Gazetted (Group 'A' and 'B') and Non-gazetted (Group 'C' and 'D'). C. 19 RRBs to recruit Group C and D posts. Group 'A' Posts - Group A posts is carried out by UPSC - appointed through Civil Service Exam, Engineering Service Exam, and Combined Medical Service Examination. Group 'B' Posts - The Group B posts link Section Officers Grade - upgraded posts from Group 'C' railway employees on deputation basis. Group 'C' Posts - Technical and Non-Technical cadre posts like Clerk, Station Masterm Ticket Collector, Commercial Apprentice, Traffic Apprentice, Engineering posts (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Signal & Telecommunication) etc. Group 'D' Posts - These posts in various disciplines include Trackman, Helper, Assistant Points Man, Safaiwala, Ganman, Peon etc. Railway Recruitment Board Exam Syllabus for Exam of all posts 1. General Awareness 2. Arithmetic 3.Technical Ability 4. Reasoning Ability 5. General Intelligence 1. General Awareness : This part of question paper gauges the candidates is up to date with surrounding and includes the following: Current Affairs (National and International Importance) Major Financial/Economic News Budget and Five Year Plans Who is Who Sports Books and Authors Awards and Honours Science - Inventions and Discoveries Abbreviations Important Days International and National Organizations 2. Arithmetic Ability: This part of exam is usually checks the quantitative and mathematical skills of the candidates and following is the topics from which the questions asked: Number System HCF, LCM Simplification Decimal Fractions Ratio and Proportions Unitary Method Percentage Time and Distance Time and Work Profit and Loss Average Simple and Compound Interest Mensuration (2D and 3D) Algebra Data Interpretation 3.
