The Eye Banking Statistical Report includes information on all 71 U.S. and 10 international member eye banks reporting data for the calendar year 2015, and represents an essentially complete picture of eye banking activity among eye banks in the United States.

This report is provides the popular annual comparison of the domestic use of U.S. supplied intermediate-term preserved tissue and analysis of the types of keratoplasty performed for a specific diagnosis.

The domestic eye banks reported 130,987 total tissue recoveries, an increase of 1.8% from 128,675 recoveries in 2014.

Total donors in the United States were 66,526, up 1.5% from 2014. For the second year in a row, more cornea donors (52.8%) were listed on a donor registry than not.
