The All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) are a group of autonomous public medical colleges of higher education. These institutes have been declared by Act of Parliament as institutions of national importance About the National Eye Bank The National Eye Bank is situated at the centre and has an enviable voluntary donor list. A junior and a senior resident are available round the clock to collect eyes from the donors. This year 641 donor eyes were received and 463 keratoplasties were done.
