Can you tell me about the eligibility requirement for admission in Ph D (Doctor of Philosophy) Program offered by Fakir Mohan University? Fakir Mohan University offer Ph D in disciplines: Applied Physics & Ballistic, Bio Sciences, Bio-technology, Business Management, Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, English, Environmental Science, History, Information & Communication Technology, Law, Mathematics, Odia, Physics, Physical Education, Political Science, Population Studies, Sociology and Urdu. Eligibility: One must have obtained a Master's Degree (2 years duration) with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in the concerned or allied subject preceded by a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institute. One should posses a good moral character, certified by the head of the institution/ Department last attended, to be enclosed along with the application for Ph. D. registration. In addition to the above, one must also fulfil any one of the following conditions: i) Have cleared the FMU - RET (Fakir Mohan University – Research Eligibility Test). The validity of the FMU-RET, once cleared, will be valid for two years from the publication of the result. ii) Qualified in any of the following examinations: NET/JRF (conducted by UGC/CSIR/ DBT/ other national tests with eligibility for research), SLET, GATE (Valid as on last date of application) iii) Have obtained an M. Phil. degree from a university recognized by FMU/ the UGC with course work having minimum 300 marks/ 24 credits including a review work/ dissertation. iv) Holder of Valid Teacher Fellowship of UGC Foreign nationals desiring to get admission into Ph. D. degree are exempted from the above conditions, but should submit a letter of willingness from a guide who should be a permanent faculty member of F. M. University.
