Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission conducts direct recruitment for the post of Village Adminstrative Officer (VAO) or Grama Nirvaga Aluvalar in Tamilnadu Ministerial Service. This post is similar to the post of Village accountant tasked with the responsibility of maintenance of record, record keeping and account of preparation of statistical returns. Job profile of VAO •Maintenance of village record pertaining to crop and harvest. •Keeping right record of land •Preparation of statistical returns and reports Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit:- For SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and DWs of all castes Minimum Age (Should have completed):- 21 Years Maximum Age:- 40 Years For Others Minimum Age (Should have completed):- 21 Years Maximum Age:- 30 Years Academic Qualification: Candidate Must possess Minimum General Educational Qualification viz. Must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies (or) to College Courses of studies. Knowledge of Tamil:- Candidates should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil. Pattern:- TNPSC VAO exam will consist of a single paper with the following subjects of SSC standard General studies - (75 items) + Basics of Village Administration (25 items) + Aptitude & Mental Ability Test (20 items) + General Tamil / General English (80 items) Total - (200 items) Duration of Examination:- 3 Hours Maximum Marks:- 300 Minimum Qualifying Marks for selection:- 90 Syllabus: Physics Chemistry Botany Zoology -Current Events History Political Science-1 Geography Economics Science -Geography -History & Culture of India & Tamil Nadu -Indian Polity -Indian Economy -Indian National Movement -Aptitude and Mental Ability Test Tamil / General English -Comprehension. -Select the correct Tense. -Select the correct Voice. -Select the correct sentence. -Select the correct Question Tag. -Select the correct Plural forms. -Identify the correct degree. -Form a new word by blending the words. -Select the correct word (Prefix, Suffix). -Fill in the blanks with suitable Article. -Fill in the blanks with suitable Preposition. -Fill in the blanks (Infinitive, Gerund, Participle). -Find out the odd words (Verb, Noun, Adjective, Adverb). -Identify the sentence (Simple, Compound, Complex Sentense). -Form compound words (Eg: Noun+Verb, Gerund+Noun). -Find out the Error (Articles, Prepositions, Noun, Verb, Adjective, Adverb). -Choose the correct ‘Synonyms’ for the underlined word from the options given. -Choose the correct ‘Antonyms’ for the underlined word from the options given. -Match the following words and Phrases given in Column A with their meanings in Column B. -Identify the sentence pattern of the following sentence (Subject, Verb, Object….).
